WATER

  1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half the world population.)
  2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger.
  3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as 3%.
  4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
  5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
  6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
  7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
  8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
  9. Are you drinking the amount of water you should drink every day?

COKE

  1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
  2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
  3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
  4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
  5. Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
  6. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubblaway the corrosion.
  7. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
  8. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
  9. Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy .
  10. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

  • The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.
  • To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
  • The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean engines of the trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water? or Coke?

What is Breast cancer?
It is a cancer of the glandular breast tissue.

Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer in women and the second most common cause of cancer death in women in the U.S. While the majority of new breast cancers are diagnosed as a result of an abnormality seen on a mammogram, a lump or change in consistency of the breast tissue can also be a warning sign of the disease.
Although breast cancer in women is a common form of cancer, male breast cancer does occur and accounts for about 1% of all cancer deaths in men.

Risk!

  • Age: The chance of getting breast cancer goes up as a woman gets older. Most cases of breast cancer occur in women over 60. This disease is not common before menopause.
  • Personal history of breast cancer: A woman who had breast cancer in one breast has an increased risk of getting cancer in her other breast.
  • Family history: A woman’s risk of breast cancer is higher if her mother, sister, or daughter had breast cancer. The risk is higher if her family member got breast cancer before age 40. Having other relatives with breast cancer (in either her mother’s or father’s family) may also increase a woman’s risk.
  • Certain breast changes: Some women have cells in the breast that look abnormal under a microscope. Having certain types of abnormal cells (atypical hyperplasia and lobular carcinoma in situ [LCIS]) increases the risk of breast cancer.
  • Gene changes: Changes in certain genes increase the risk of breast cancer.
  • Being overweight or obese after menopause: The chance of getting breast cancer after menopause is higher in women who are overweight or obese.
  • Lack of physical activity: Women who are physically inactive throughout life may have an increased risk of breast cancer. Being active may help reduce risk by preventing weight gain and obesity.
  • Drinking alcohol: Studies suggest that the more alcohol a woman drinks, the greater her risk of breast cancer.
Symptoms!
A change in how the breast or nipple feels
  • A lump or thickening in or near the breast or in the underarm area
  • Nipple tenderness
A change in how the breast or nipple looks
  • A change in the size or shape of the breast
  • A nipple turned inward into the breast
  • The skin of the breast, areola, or nipple may be scaly, red, or swollen. It may have ridges or pitting so that it looks like the skin of an orange.
Nipple discharge (fluid)
  • Early breast cancer usually does not cause pain. Still, a woman should see her health care provider about breast pain or any other symptom that does not go away. Most often, these symptoms are not due to cancer. Other health problems may also cause them. Any woman with these symptoms should tell her doctor so that problems can be diagnosed and treated as early as possible.
Treatment!

Where’s the loo? Have you ever really understood why single sex loos are necessary? Why can’t we just share?
  • Some reasons why… why women need privacy… why single sex loos are necessary!
  • Women like to cry. A lot! And this can only happen in the sanctuary of the ladies loo, safe from the unsympathetic b*st*rd who caused the tears. [Correct or wrong?]
  • Women love to stay near the mirror where make-ups can be reapplied.
  • Women usually go to the loo so they can discuss someone else they are worth with. Talk about anything… problems or usually love life. [BUT why not in other places and why choose the loo?]
And here’s the worst! Why are women’s toilet queues always longer? Is it true that when stuck in the same queue while waiting for the one who use the toilet first, they always ask question of each other? Chat then they’re stuck! Staying longer and chat about anything and everything. That’s the female ability. Yes obviously, women do seem to be able to make conversation with strangers more easily.

IMPORTANT!

Keep clean! Be healthy! Remember that hand washing- a simple way to prevent infection! So, “wash your hands before leaving the toilet.”

The liver is an organ present in vertebrates and some other animals. It plays a major role in metabolism and has a number of functions in the body, including glycogen storage, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, and detoxification. This organ also is the largest gland in the human body. It lies below the diaphragm in the thoracic region of the abdomen.

Medical terms related to the liver often start in hepato- or hepatic from the Greek word for liver, hēpar (ήπαρ).

Some Diseases of the liver:

  • Hepatitis, inflammation of the liver, caused mainly by various viruses but also by some poisons, autoimmunity or hereditary conditions.
  • Cancer of the liver (primary hepatocellular carcinoma or cholangiocarcinoma and metastatic cancers, usually from other parts of the gastrointestinal tract).
  • Haemochromatosis, a hereditary disease causing the accumulation of iron in the body, eventually leading to liver damage.
  • Cirrhosis is the formation of fibrous tissue in the liver, replacing dead liver cells. The death of the liver cells can for example be caused by viral hepatitis, alcoholism or contact with other liver-toxic chemicals.
Hepatitis (plural hepatitides) implies injury to liver characterised by presence of inflammatory cells in the liver tissue.
Acute hepatitis is when it lasts less than 6 months and chronic hepatitis is when it persists longer. A group of viruses known as the hepatitis viruses cause most liver damages worldwide. Hepatitis can also be due to toxins (notably alcohol), other infections or from autoimmune process. It may run a subclinical course when the affected person may not feel ill. The patient becomes unwell and symptomatic when the disease impairs liver functions that include among other things, screening of harmful substances, regulation of blood composition and production of bile to help digestion.

Common Colds, Flu, Cough Home Remedies

Cold treatment using Ginger:
Ginger is another excellent remedy for colds and coughs. About ten grams of ginger should be cut into small pieces and boiled in a cup of water. It should then be strained and half a teaspoon of sugar added to it. This decoction should be drunk when hot. Ginger tea, prepared by adding a few pieces of ginger into boiled water before adding the tea leaves, is also an effective remedy for colds and for fevers resulting from cold. It may be taken twice daily.

Cold treatment using Garlic:
Garlic soup is an old remedy to reduce the severity of a cold, and should be taken once daily. The soup can be prepared by boiling three or four cloves of chopped garlic in a cup of water. Garlic contains antiseptic and antispasmodic properties, besides several other medicinal virtues. The oil contained in this vegetable helps to open up the respiratory passages. In soup form, it flushes out all toxins from the system and thus helps bring down fever. Five drops of garlic oil combined with a teaspoon of onion juice, and diluted in a cup of water, should be drunk two to three times a day. This has also been found to be very effective in the treatment of common cold.

Cold treatment using Lemon
Lemon is the most important among the many home remedies for common cold. It is beneficial in all types of cold with fever. Vitamin C-rich lemon juice increases body resistance, decreases toxicity and reduces the duration of the illness. One lemon should be diluted in a glass of warm water, and a teaspoon of honey should be added to it. This should be taken once or twice daily.

… or you can try this strange treatment but also very effective! Cold treatment using Lady’s Fingers:
Lady’s fingers are highly valuable in treating irritation of the throat and a persistent dry cough. This vegetable is rich in mucilage and acts as a drug to allay irritation, swelling, and pain. About 100 gm of lady’s fingers should be cut into pieces, and boiled down in half a liter of water to make a decoction. The steam issuing from this decoction may also be inhaled once or twice a day to relieve throat irritation and a dry cough.

Other tips:
Put your toothbrush in a glass of hydrogen peroxide. This will keep you from re-infecting yourself.
Taking a 45-minute walk can help you shake a cold. Walking (and other forms of exercising) gets the immune system to circulate infection-fighting antibodies.
Onion tea Make a tea by cutting an onion, boiling it, and drinking the juice.

Note:
  • Acute viral nasopharyngitis, or acute coryza, usually known as the common cold, is a highly contagious, viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory system, primarily caused by picornaviruses or coronaviruses. Common symptoms are sore throat, runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing and cough; sometimes accompanied by muscle aches, fatigue, malaise, headache, muscle weakness, or loss of appetite. Fever and extreme exhaustion are more usual in influenza.
  • Influenza, commonly known as flu, is an infectious disease of birds and mammals caused by RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae (the influenza viruses). In humans, common symptoms of influenza infection are fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, and weakness and general discomfort.
  • A cough, also known as tussis is a sudden, often repetitive, spasmodic contraction of the thoracic cavity, resulting in violent release of air from the lungs, and usually accompanied by a distinctive sound.

If unwanted pregnancy happen, what other ways to do aside abortion?

Experts will say, you should see a gynecologist or obstetrician when unwanted pregnancy happens. You can ask them for any medicine that could abort a child.

Remember also that anything that is taken into your body could harm to you as well as the fetus you are trying to abort. In case of vaginal bleeding the first point is to assess whether the fetus is implanted in the uterus properly. Also your gynecologist will see whether the development is going through the blood tests and the scan.

Abortion procedures vary according to the stage of the pregnancy. Usually, women can choose the procedure that they feel is most suitable for them and their circumstances.

Two main methods of early abortion:

  1. a medical method that uses drugs
  2. surgical method/vacuum aspiration- simply means suction
And for early medical abortion, which available only in the first 9 weeks of pregnancy, is an abortion pill.

Risk?
Abortion procedures, especially in the early weeks of pregnancy, are very safe, but no clinical procedure is entirely without risk. You should encourage your partner to discuss her choices of treatment - and any possible complications and side effects - with a doctor or nurse practitioner, before she makes her decision.

Will abortion affect woman’s fertility?
There is very little risk to future fertility unless a woman contracts an infection and it is not properly treated. This is why it is so important for your partner to follow doctor’s advice.

How soon can you have sex after an abortion?
We advise women to avoid having sex for two weeks after treatment. If you both find it impossible to wait, use a condom to help prevent infection.
